The Ashley Short Sleeve Dress
is sure to be a favorite if you are a fan of classic late 1930's
and early 1940's fashions. The bodice and sleeves were modeled
after a 1937 vintage pattern. The underbust (front and back)
is lined and topstitched. The bodice has ruching at the top of
the shoulders and is lightly gathered at the underbust line.
The sleeves are cap style with a gathered top and gathered edge
and tiny piping. The skirt is a shorter version (knee length)
of that of our Amanda Dress (combining bias and a-line pieces
for a flattering fit)
Fabric: Heavy Weight Silk Crepe de Chine
Lining: Unlined
*The CRAZY CIRCLES print was
inspired by a favorite 1940s rayon print fabric. The base is
a deep dark navy with swirls of periwinkle and coin like circles
in lime green, white, and warm pink.*
