Our Flutter Sleeve 1940s Dress
is a new variation on our classic 1940's Dress. This frock features
a lowcut front and back neckline with gathering at the shoulders,
upper bust, and upper back. The underbust is sewn in sections
to give it a sleek and flattering fit. The skirt is below the
knee and combines bias cut and straight cut panels for a flattering
A line shape. This version features short circular cut sleeves
for an even more vintage look. The waist front and back is black
for a tiny 'nipped waist' look!
Fabric: Heavy Weight Silk Crepe de Chine
Lining: The waist sections on this style have an additional
lining of black silk habotai for an extra slimming touch.
*The MAGENTA FLORAL print was
inspired by a favorite 1940s fabric. The background is black
with vibrant magenta (bright-deep hot pink with a slight purple),
pink and white flowers with muted green leaves.*
