Our 1940's Empire Dress is a variation on the popular 1940's short sleeve dress. It is exactly the same EXCEPT the empire version featues only two rows at the underbust/waist and ends just above the natural waist line. This dress features a lowcut front and back neckline with gathering at the shoulders, upper bust, and upper back. The skirt is below the knee and combines bias cut and straight cut panels for a flattering A line shape. This EMPIRE version should work well for petite and tall ladies, but is especially perfect for those who have trouble fitting our classic 1940's dress.
