Our 1940's Empire Dress is a variation on the popular 1940's short sleeve dress. It is exactly the same EXCEPT the empire version featues only two rows at the underbust/waist and ends just above the natural waist line. This dress features a lowcut front and back neckline with gathering at the shoulders, upper bust, and upper back. The skirt is below the knee and combines bias cut and straight cut panels for a flattering A line shape. This EMPIRE version should work well for petite and tall ladies, but is especially perfect for those who have trouble fitting our classic 1940's dress. This print version features a black solid contrast waist.
