hagars-house-fundraiser-update

As most of you know Trashy Diva recently partnered with local nonprofit Hagar’s House to host a vintage pop up store during Art for Art’s Sake. If you were lucky enough to stop by, you already know it was a mini block party exploding with fashion and fun, BUT if you absolutely had to miss it (we’re still awaiting your excuse), I’ll give you all a short photo recap here. Not only did we have rockin’ vintage threads for men, women, and children, but we also had jewelry, artwork, housewares.. pretty much anything you can imagine. A lucky lady even one the raffle for $100 gift certificate to shop at any Trashy Diva store! ?

Are you jealous you missed it yet? If not, let me just add in that besides the goods we
had for sale, the entire block was filled with Trashy Diva ladies dancing, drinking, and
making sure everyone had a darn good time! We at Trashy Diva want to extend a very
sincere thank you to everyone that donated their vintage goods and came out to shop
with us for the evening. It really paid off! We are very happy to announce that we have
raised $5,000 for Hagar’s House! Everyone at Trashy Diva is so grateful to have been
able to help fund Hagar House’s remarkable mission in New Orleans with the support
of our loyal locals. Here we are presenting the check to them:

Hagars House Trashy Diva donation

Hagar’s House
is a New Orleans nonprofit organization that is a sanctuary for women
and children in New Orleans and provides an open and empowering residential
community, resource coordination and a safe place to transition into sustainable
housing. It is unique in that it offers holistic programming focused on physical health,
emotional/spiritual health and social justice. In addition a savings program is in place
for the working residents to save 70% of their income while in the program, to have
upon their moving out of Hagar’s House. Locals supporting locals supporting locals..
it doesn’t get much better than that! If you happened to miss this unforgettably fun
event, don’t fret! Look out for our next charity event in the beginning of 2013!
See y’all there!

Xoxo, Jessie
